Bali- Here we come!! This holiday trip was sponsored by my husband company, some sort of awards for the outstanding leaders..And for me, he paid for me..Jatuh pulak on my birthday...So my hubby said it's was my birthday present... And some said our second honeymoon trip..Coz our kids were left at my mother's house..We enjoyed this great holidays escapes...And let's the photo do the talking..

More update...This week busy with meeting, meeting and meeting..proposal, proposal and proposal...next week I'll keep myself busy with seminar presentation, management meeting...Then, i'll take off for BALI INDONESIA...Yeah! My first oversea visit for this year...Can't wait...BALI here I come..

Blog aku yang dah sampai di bawah tahap beku...Cam contoh gambar kat Sheffield nie..Wah lama tak update..Masa..masa..masa...

ANyway, last 3 months a lot of things has happened to me...Wah macam-macam experienced..Keluar masuk hospital...Berkampung kejap kat HUKM..Pastu sambung 2 minggu jadi pelanggan setia Poliklinik kat sini..Sampai semua staf aku kenal..Doktor apatah lagi kan...Lepas cuti 40 hari baru masuk keje...Wah macam orang pantang bersalin lak..Kurus sikit la kan..Tapi la nie naik la balik...selera sedap maa...

Lepas masuk keje, postdoc aku lak lari pi tempat yang offer better..Yelah apalah sangat teknologi kat sini compare to tempat dia sekarang.. anyway, aku faham..

Nie baru je abis Audit kualiti..Harap dan doa agar kita berjaya ye..kalu tidak makin banyak le keje aku...

Harap lepas baik sakit nie aku lebih tahu menghargai kesihatan, bukan dok keje tk ingat jaga diri...And kena selalu rasa happy..sebab stress adalah puncanya...
"Aku happy..aku happy buat lawak malam ini" kena slalu nyanyi lagu Raja Lawak nie...hahaha..
Melalut...ok sambung lenkali..Off!!

Lama tak tulis kat blog nie..busy memanjang..ah..semua orang pun busy kan..but still ada gak masa nak update blog apa...excuse la tuh..hihihi..tapi realitinya memang tak sempat lah..

Apapun kali nie nak mengomel je..sebab dah simpan bende nie lama sangat..Bak kata Doktor, " Awak tak boleh tension-tension, kena rest banyak dan jangan susah hati" Mana tak nya blood pressure saya nie naik sampai 140/90 masa check aritu..WAH! Perkembangan yang memang tak sihat tu..

So supaya bp tak naik sampai meletup jadi kena la ada medium melepaskan perasaan kan..so nasib ada blog nie kan..

Ok back to the subject matter, saya nie geram dgn sorang kawan setugas tu..Dia ni pakar ngelat yang terhebat abad ini.. Sebab apa cakap camtu? Yelah kalau bagi kerja kat dia, ada je alasannya..Asik busy je memanjang..Yang pelik tu tak tau la apa yg di"busy"kan tu..Nak kata tulis paper, sampai sekarang tak publish-publish pun..Nak kata tulis proposal grant, sampai sekarang tak ada pun geran yang dia dapat. Dah ler pegang jawatan yang takde keje nak buat..abis tu makan gaji buta je la..

Saya nie semua keje bagi kat saya..Tak tau la kenapa bos bagi banyak keje..samada dia rasa saya nie boleh diharapkan ke, or saya nie takde keje sbb tu dia bagi keje ke?Bila suh bos pass keje kat kawan yang sorang nie mesti bos kerut-kerut dahi..Last2 dia kata "you la buat" Abis tu nak kata apa?? Yes Boss! la kan..

So kawan yang sorang nie asik-asik alasan dia tak tau buat la, dia takde idea la..macam-macam la kan..Pastu kalu ada seminar ke, meeting ke selalu je tak dapat nak hadir..alasan mcm2 la kan..
Yang geram tu bila dia pass keje dia kat saya..Alasan dia "Dr. Ain tau buat".."Minta Dr. Ain tolong check sebab dia tau"...Abis tu dia buat apa???

Dah ler keje saya as quality management nie banyak giler..Dgn ISO, MQA, OBE sume..kepala dh nak pecah pun ada..Keje sendiri tak siap, nak tambah lak keje yang patut dia buaat kan...Sabor jelah..

Hari-hari keje mesti 10-11 jam..Datang awal. Balik mesti lambat. Yang dia dah ler datang lambat..balik lagi awal dari orang keje ofis..Sabor jelah..alasan nak amik anak..macam la aku nie takde anak kan..

Tapi bila bab promote diri tu, Wah no 1..dia la yang buat keje semua tu, dia lah yang bagus tu..nama dia je naik..nama orang pencacai cam saya nie takde la kan..Iskh! sabor jelah..
Nasib saya la kan...dapat rakan sekerja camni..Apa pun Allah Maha Tahu...

Mak saya selalu pesan- Ingatlah, setiap sesuap nasi yang kita usahakan atas kejujuran dan keihlasan akan mendapat keberkatan Allah..Makanan akan jadi darah daging kita..Itulah yang kita suapkan ke mulut anak-anak kita..Oleh itu nilaikan lah makanan itu sumbernya halal atau tidak.Moga Allah memberkati rezeki yang kita usahakan..amin...

I will be away for Japan Trip for 12 days starting this saturday.

This trip is research collaboration visit to University of Tsukuba, University of Tokyo and RIKEN Japan. Hope this trip will give us some experience dealing with Japanese research groups.

Ingat Senang ke Jadi Ketua Projek???

Siang tadi aku ke MARDI untuk menghadiri meeting pemantauan projek penyelidikan oleh pihak MOSTI. rasanya nie meeting ke 3 yang aku hadir setelah mendapat kelulusan projek tahun lepas. meeting kali ni agak kritikal kerana meeting ini yg akan menentukan kelulusan budget untuk tahun kedua.

Sesi aku jam 3ptg. Sebelum jam 2 aku dah sampai setelah sesat beberapa kali..nie 1st time meeting ini diadakan di MARDI.selalunya di MOSTI Putrajaya..anyway, bila sampai ingat boleh terus masuk bilik meeting..rupa-rupanya meeting sesi pagi tak selesai lagi.aku mula la cuak..takkan lama sangat sesi pagi punya presentation padahal ada 3 projek je yg akan dinilai. sebelah petang iaitu sesi aku ada 5 projek utk dinilai..kalu macam tu mau habis jam 7mlm...

rupa-rupanya ada satu projek yg ambil masa lama, just imagine masuk jam 11.30pg jam 2.30ptg baru keluar..muka ketua projek merah semacam and siap berpeluh-peluh lagi..aduh! confirm kena "basuh" dengan panel-panel nie...

apa lagi makin tak keruan la aku as ketua projek..dah la semua colaborator tak datang..hanya hantar student je..sabar-sabar..

sesi ptg-

-1st project yang present kena "basuh" teruk...semua panel tanya beberapa je jawapan yg menyakinkan panel...berapi-api ketua panel hentam...adoi...

-2nd project- lagi kena "bantai" teruk..padahal masa dia present tu kira sungguh bagus la projek dia tu..aku rasa cam ok je..but panel rasa tak bagus..kali ni siap kata projek tu takde nilai pun di mata panel..adoi lagi sekali...

-3rd project- aku punya la kan...aku pun present la semua results yg ada (with butterfly in my stomach)..." 2 milestones achieved" bla..bla..lepas habis slide "thank you"..aku pun get ready je lah kalu kena "basuh" jugak...

Alhamdulillah, smooth je soalan-soalannya dan dapat dijawab dgn baik..siap nak ajak aku pi field trip ke Sabah next month or early August...LEGA.....aku tanya bila depa nak masukkan duit utk 2nd year..aku la nie dah berhutang dgn UKM psl bayar gaji 2 org RA aku tu..ketua panel kata by end of July boleh dapat duit tu..

FUH! Lega..lepas nie boleh tidur malam la aku...my student siap ckp kena pi celebrate..aku kata boleh la celebrate kalu dah dapat duit RM 1Million tu dalam tangan...right now, kena bersabar jelah..anyway, satu beban dah lepas..need to focus on 2nd year punye milestones yg lebih mencabar...

Students yg attend meeting tadi tu kata baru la dorang tau susahnya meeting monitoring nie..susah nak defend kat panel-panel yg pakar "membasuh" orang nie..susahnya nak dapat duit..Tau pun...Ingat senang ke jadi Ketua Projek???

Yeah!Yeah! cuti...akhirnya..dapat jugak bercuti... tapi before dapat cuti kena siapkan dokumen2 penting...dah la from tuesday to friday ada workshop..so kena la lari kejap ke ofis nak siapkan kerja..tadi baru je email dokumen terakhir to my boss..lega...so lepas nie boleh la balik kampung..

Need a Break!!

Penat sangat-sangat lar nie...banyak benda yang terkejar sana sini..nie belum lagi bukak semester..kalau dah bukak sems tak tau ler apa nak jadi...mau havoc! dah ler dengar citer kena ngajor dalam 100 over students..at least experienced 2 years ago berguna la kan..dulu kena ajar 250 students on my first day of lecture..gigil lutut masa tu..hihihi...such a nice memory..

nak cuti la time school holiday nie..tapi boss nak buat sanggar kerja la pulak time2 tu..adoi! pastu kena la pulak buat preparation benda2 tu..lagi sekali adoi!

Bulan Julai nie nak pi Kiwi's land ada conference on metabolomics..di jemput utk bagi oral presentation... tapi takut la pulak H1N1...camne yer?? kalau tak pi rugi la sangat2 (tapi actually ok je kot- at least takde la kena present oral kat org2 yg expert tu...adoi takuss)

entah la..serabut jer rasa...really need a long break...huhuhu..

Topik: Sejarah hari ini

Beberapa isu yang berlaku menyebabkan aku terpanggil untuk berkongsi rasa, pendapat dan luahanku.

Pertama, isu berkaitan kerajaan Perak: Siapakah MB Perak? Hari ini kita akan tahu keputusan mahkamah berkaitan isu ini. Walau apapun keputusanya, seharusnya MB yang dipilih WAJIB menunaikan janji-janji untuk memperjuangankan nasib rakyat.Bukan perjuangan menjaga periuk nasi sendiri seperti yang berlaku ketika ini. daripada dok berebut kerusi adalah lebih baik turun ke pelosok kampung melihat keadaan rakyat. Daripada sibuk beli Camry adalah lebih baik guna wang tersebut untuk membantu rakyat miskin. Adakah dengan Camry maka wakil rakyat ini lebih cepat turun ke kampung daripada dengan mengunakan Perdana??

Kedaulatan Sultan, hak ketuanan bangsa dan agama isu yang amat sensitif dan tidak patut dijadikan sentimen politik. Lupakah kepada Datuk Maharajalela dan Raja Abdullah yang sanggup berkorban demi membela bangsa mempertahankan negeri Perak?

Kedua, slogan "satu Malaysia". Ini juga tidak harus disalah tafsirkan oleh individu atau parti politik tertentu hanya untuk menaikkan kemarahan rakyat. Sekali lagi sentimen sensitif ini WAJIB dijaga dan dipelihara. Idea PM ini memang baik bagi menjamin kemakmuran negara. Tetapi janganlah membuat permintaan melampau dan merepek sehingga mengundang kebencian rakyat. Sewajarnya aktivis seperti Hindraf itu patut dihapuskan. Lupakah kita kepada sejarah asal bumi bertuah ini?

Ketiga, isu Chin Peng. Wajarkah beliau diberi kemaafan atas apa yang telah berlaku 50 tahun lalu? Sekali lagi sensitiviti rakyat tercabar. Bagi anak Pasca-merdeka mungkin perkara ini hanya satu perkara kecil. tapi bagaimana dengan pejuang kemerdekaan dan waris mereka yang masih lagi menaruh dendam dan benci terhadap komunis. hanya mereka yang tahu kesengsaraan ketika itu melihat kekejaman komunis.wajarkan "Ketua Komunis" ini dibenarkan menjejakkan kaki ke bumi bertuah ini??Lupakah kita kepada perjuangan Leftenan Adnan?

Fikir-fikirkan lah. lupakah kita bagaimana Melaka dijajah Portugal, bagaimana British menakluk kita? Semua kerana pertelagahan dalaman yang mengundang campur tangan mereka. Inginkah kita sejarah berulang kembali? maukah kita jadi seperti negara Iraq??Di mana Jati diri kita??Walaupun aku anak pasca-merdeka tetapi isu-isu seperti ini benar-benar mencabar mindaku..Bacalah kembali buku-buku Sejarah untuk refresh balik ingatan kita ini. Kalau tak ingat juga datang tanya saya. Sejarah saya A1 SPM tau!!...hihihi

berapa ramai yang sanggup mencuci muntah ibunya.....
berapa ramai yang sanggup mengantikan lampin ibunya.....
berapa ramai yang sanggup membersihkan najis ibunya.......
berapa ramai yang sanggup membuang ulat dan membersihkan luka kudis
ibunya.....

berapa ramai yang sanggup berhenti kerja untuk menjaga ibunya.....
dan akhir sekali berapa ramai yang sembahyang JENAZAH ibunya......
Seorang anak mendapatkan ibunya yang sedang sibuk menyediakan makan malam
di
dapur lalu menghulurkan sekeping kertas yang bertulis sesuatu. Si ibu
segera
mengesatkan tangan di apron menyambut kertas yang dihulurkan oleh si anak
lalu
membacanya.Kos upah membantu ibu:
1) Tolong pergi kedai : RM4.00
2) Tolong jaga adik : RM4..00
3) Tolong buang sampah : RM1.00
4) Tolong kemas bilik : RM2.00
5) Tolong siram bunga : RM3.00
6) Tolong sapu sampah : RM3.00
Jumlah : RM17.00
Selesai membaca, si ibu tersenyum memandang si anak sambil sesuatu
berlegar-legar si mindanya. Si ibu mencapai sebatang pen dan menulis
sesuatu di
belakang kertas yang sama.
1) Kos mengandungkanmu selama 9 bulan - PERCUMA
2) Kos berjaga malam kerana menjagamu - PERCUMA
3) Kos air mata yang menitis keranamu - PERCUMA
4) Kos kerunsingan kerana bimbangkanmu - PERCUMA
5) Kos menyediakan makan minum, pakaian, dan keperluanmu -PERCUMA
Jumlah Keseluruhan Nilai Kasihku - PERCUMA

Air mata si anak berlinang setelah membaca apa yang dituliskan oleh siibu.
Si
anak menatap wajah ibu,memeluknya dan berkata,
"Saya Sayangkan Ibu". Kemudian si anak mengambil pen dan menulis "Telah
Dibayar" pada mukasurat yang sama ditulisnya.

Malacca:Workshop and a Visit

Another outdated entry...My research group at UPM invited me to attend this 3 days workshop of scientific writing. however, i only managed to join them after meeting at Terengganu on the friday.

We stayed at Shah's Beach Resort Melaka..nice place to stay..

Day of activity...this was the take a break time..Yeah! after more than 2 days we focused on our laptop try to come out with the brilliant ideas on how to get our research work published, so we really need this before we end up as PHD (Permenant Head Damage)...

My ex..oppss! Ex-supervisor delivered his lecture on "How to be like your UMMI" to my kids...hihihi..

After the lecture they really having this...STRESS, TENSE and PRESSURE..like your UMMI..

Melaka, the historical city of Malaysia...Since this was my frist visit to Melaka after more than 10 years, so we decided to have a hop on and hop off tour...

Cuti-Cuti Malaysia: Perak Trip

Our family trip this year started with a visit to Perak...Actually this trip was not really in our plan. Well, as usual last minute plan...The truth is we actually were invited to attend a wedding of the son of my father's cousin in Parit, Perak. So after the kenduri we decided to spend a nite at Teluk Batik, Lumut.

It's a peak season of school holidays..We browsed a number of hotel and chalet around that area for a comfortable and affordable place to stay..Luckily, we found this nice apartment. Three bedrooms apartment at Marina Cove Resort at Teluk Batik, comfortable enough for 10 of us... With the price of RM350 (with 10% discount on government tax), this apartment, with a seaview from the master bedroom really superb..

Wet Theme Park of Marina Cove Resort...Definetely we'll explored it...Wait for tomorrow..

In the late afternoon....As usual, my little sunshines having fun in the swimming pool of the resort.

actually last weekend, adalah orang tu antor sms..kata "please present the whole results, we need his opinion on your work, cukup ke tak your data". my answer was" tp kan dia buat microbial metabolomics. mcmana nak help me with my work. and takut ada clash of interest dgn sheffield lak..lagipun nak publish result tu..maybe discussion ok kot?" and jawapan yg saya terima ialah " kita nak idea dia, tapi kalu tak nak sukatilah". later, satu lg sms masuk from the big boss.. " i think you should present then later we discuss.but up to you nak present byk mana". then i jawab..ok boss..

sunday nite, this person sms lg.."kena present jugak semua.then kita discuss"..so i pun buat senyap ler..ikut suka diorang la kan..

yesterday, early morning, this person came to my room. nak tgk my slides..OK! so i masukkan all the result yg i think ok ler kan to show to the expert...actually tak nak masuk kan list of metabolites tu sebab tau sgt la dis person ada hidden agenda dgn my work...apsal tiba-tiba baik sgt nak tolong me...selama nie siap ngumpat jek..

Opps!melalut...ok, then this person said..nak list of metabolites tu jugak..so terpaksa la ikut kan..dia kan senior la katakan...dia kata nanti boleh la the expert tu komen kan..this guy memang expert dlm metabolomics work..ada 7 books, more than 100 publications tau...kena dgr la pendapat dia...nanti kita tau la ok ke tak..OK!

masa meeting ada bos, sorg student yg slalu berkongsi info about metabolomic work.and ada juga la kuncu this person...siap demand nak duduk sebelah menyebelah..tau sgt nk ngumpat aku ler tu...yg expert dr NZ tu and his student..

so time presentation- "actually these slides i've presented at sheffield..bla..bla..tunjuk result and explained..so these are the interesting part of my work..bla..bla..using these website to search metabolites compounds...bla..bla..PCA able to separate the compounds well...bla..bla..
then, now come to my problems...i've stucked here...i could not get compounds from these techniques....bla..bla..i've tried different method...bla..bla..

The expert asked me questions..and he really satisfied with the answer..and asked me this question (which is i like most) : how long you takes to get all these data?
my answer was very short: 6 months..
he looks at me, 6 months or 6 years? me: six months...
his respond: OMG, i'm really impress with you..amazing...it's really a lot of data you've generated within 6 months times...it's really a PhD work...and you should have 1 master student to do data analysis..only to analyze data that you produce... Hello! saya takde student buat tu..semua buat sendiri..
and he said some more that the list of metabolites really interesting..a lot of organic acids, amino acids which are primary metabolites that respond to the secondary metabolites effect..must study this upregulated first..from the list could have at least 3 different publications..and can also apply for a very good amount of research grant...

he also suggested that i should come to his lab in Auckland to finish up that part.. my answer was, ask the boss...lepas tu mula la yg dua org tu buat muka la kan..yg geram nye masa my presentation and Q n A with the expert, dua org ni kan siap sms, tulis kt kertas lg smbil buat muka..cm la aku tak tau depa ngumpat sbb aku pn selalu gak wt cmtu msa kta tempat lama dlu..hihi..student tu pn bagitau yg depa dua tu dok ngumpat aku sbb dia nmpak..

Moral of the story, selama nie saya diam jer, pekakkan telinga,butakan mata dgn isu-isu tersebut..pandangan my boss disebabkan cerita-cerita yg disebarkan oleh that person and the kuncu....kata ngabis duit je antor saya jauh-jauh tp yg dapat primary metabolites..langsung xpenting...
memang sedih tp saya tau semua org akan tutup mulut if saya boleh publish kat journal yg hebat kan..so buat keje senyap-senyap...tak payah kipas ke aircond ke your boss...just work closely dgn org sheffield by email..only them know better..actually org sheffield when they were here, dorang pun puji my work..but tau jelah dorg kt tempat nie..dorg kata mesti la puji sbb aku memang attached dgn sheffield..mesti supervisor puji la kan..

today, the expert on metabolomics, the one has published 7 books on metabolomics, more than 100 publications, most importantly i've never met him before kan so takde la bias issue kan... he said something nice to hear..the words that i really nak dgr sangat from the expert ni..supaya yg tak expert but buat-buat expert nie paham yg selama nie apa yg dorg interprete tu semuanya adalah SALAH...primary metabolites sgt-sgt penting..upregulated takde cmne nak ada downregulated...
paham!!!kalu tak paham jugak memang la dorg nie..aku lesing kang....sorry lepas geram..puas hati ku...berbunga-bunga betul hari ni...actually dorang dah paham kot..reasonnya seperti berikut;
1. suh buat proposal to apply grant
2. yg that person nie tiba-tiba kata " saya nak semua list compound yg u ada tu utk map kat my student pnya bioinformatic map...amboi...secukup rasa je dia mintak kan..dulu kata tak mau la sebab i nak secondary jek..
pastu, my boss kata ok i want to see the draft of the proposal within these 3 days, sebab nak make full used of this expert. Grant rm 2.5 million pun u dah dapat yg ni mesti bole dapat lebih lagi..amboi...tiba-tiba lak nak suh buat proposal..selama nie dok kata macam2 kan...so, thanks a lot for another stress for me..proposal within 3 days....ermmm...

rasa nya aku nie dah jadi teramat tegar kan...apa yg datang aku relax je..buat keje aku sbb aku lebih tau dari dorang..pekakkan telinga butakan mata..rasanya jadi iron lady...thanks to my former working place...kalu tak kerana that experiences, aku takkan jadi segagah nie....positive thinking, the best word to describe...

Workshop and a Visit

A workshop of Metabolites Profiling was held at my institute last month. I've conducted the workshop with a help from expertise from University of Sheffield. Paul, Mike and Rob shared their knowledge, experience and skills with 20 of participants from different research institutes with varies of research backgrounds.

Lecture session...For me i'm really glad to arrange the workshop to help people understand what is metabolomics is all about. This field is still new in Malaysia. That's why i've been sent away last year...

Last week one of my former supervisory committee had been promoted as Professor at one of the prestigous research university in Malaysia. He just 37 years old..erm..very young for that title,right? actually he received his associate professorship 5 years ago. impresive, right?

Maybe you will think this guy- nerd, doing research as a mad scientist, bookworms, antisocial and etc...but i think you'll be surprise when you met him..

He is the maniac fan of AF(academic fantasia at Astro), love gardening, cooking, love to talk non stop..just to name a few of his characters..

Inspired with his outstanding achievements, i'd email to him and asked for the tips...here, i would like to share with all my friends especially academicians, scientists, researchers as well as my postgraduate students..

2. Selain dari determination, you must always become a risk taker... do

so Pengarah bagilah Kriteria kenaikan pangkat (PM)seperti yang dipersetujui oleh mesyuarat ketua-ketua bahagian.

so inilah hasilnya:

1. Pengajaran dan Penyeliaan (10%)
Pengajaran- mengendalikan kursus min 3jam/sem
Penyeliaan- menyelia 2 pelajar PhD dan 2 pelajar master

2. Penerbitan (40%)
sekurang-kurangnya 15 penerbitan berwasit (cited journal)

3. Penyelidikan/perundingan (20%)

4. Persidangan (10%)

5. Khidmat masyarakat (10%)

alahai...tang yg nombor dua tu la yg siksa..mana nk dapat journal byk tu?? so kalu nak target naik pangkat PM dlm 5 thn nie,at least setahun kena produce 3 journal..adoi2..camne nie??

lagi satu nak sah jawatan pn kena publish 2 journal and 1 membentangkan paper at international level...tu lagi satu siksa...

itulah KPI research university.. sabor jelah yer..bila tah nak naik pangkat camnie??? sigh

Busy..busy jer ummi nie....banyak ker gaji ummi dapat..kenapa cikgu ummi bg byk homework?? (you always busy, have you got enought money for your salary, why your boss give you a lot of homework??) that's my daughter...nagging at me everytime when i said to her" main dgn adik kat sana, do not disturb me..need to finish my work"

what to do...your ummi have a lot of homework to do..huhuhu...

10hours-office time seems not enought for me...need to bring some work at home as well...

with all the quality management work, malaysia quality assurance frame work (MQA) report, my research project report, my postgraduate students to handle and thesis to check... and i think, my publication seems need to wait...no time to draft manuscript...huhuhu...lambat la naik pangkat nie...

i wish i have more than 24 hours a day....ok..back to work..off!!

Today, as the world begins to see the real evidence of the barbaric massacre of Palestinians that took place in Gaza by the Zionist Army, one is compelled to just and moral action.

I believed all the people around the world have become extremely frustrated with USA and UN and their inability or unwillingness to stop the horrible slaughter that is occurring in the Holy Land.

We individually have the power to stop them!!! If more and more people around the world do the same, the pressure will become powerful enough to force a positive change. We each can also help by asking our family members and friends to do the same.

So my friends, we may do not have power in terms of weapon, but we have power in terms of action...so use our power to boycott the ISRAEL and USA PRODUCT...show our power to save Palestine and to save humanity...may our collective actions will show them that the people around the world crying for peacefull and harmonies...

London Winter08 -I want magic!

This trip was our second London trip this year..so we decided to visit places not in our list on our first visit last summer.

In order to fulfill my dream to visit Hogward, we went to platform of 9 3/4 at King's Cross Railway Station..This platform will bring you to Hogward train and you can meet Harry Potter there...after all i'm really fancy about Harry Potter.. Need to go now...how???

You need to walk straight to the wall between platform 9 and 10 and push your trolley and as well as your self through it..there you go..

See i could walk through the wall...I love magic...And there you are my dear Harry...I want magic...

and I got the magic that day...Harry Potter and me...what a perfect day!!

and I met Jack Sparrow, The pirate of Carribean too...another magic for me...hahaha..

and William Turner...my beloved darling...tall, fair and handsome...hihihi

and my heart trobe...Shahrukh Khan..he was in my list of 'my future husband' before i end up with 'you know who'...hahahaha...

My hubby and I been invited to Rob's house at Crookes.. Crookes is in the top of the hill and the highest and steppest peak in Sheffield.. and I'm really proud of myself coz i managed to walk to Rob's house after about 30 minutes journey... My biggest achievement!!!

I think is not too late to wish all my muslim friends, Happy Eid Adha.. Really busy at the moment to update my blog on this special occassion... Why so special?? It is because this is my very first time (and i hope it will be first and last time, actually) celebrate this Eid far from home and my precious one.. and really sad to mentioned that i'm not really celebrate this Eid since i need to go to lab on that day...so pity of me..huhuhu..

However, i managed to cook chicken rendang and nasi impit on the eve..and my hubby with his special beef curry mamak style..

so i invite all my friends in my lab to be with me and husband at home during lunch time..For makan-makan of course..

Day Trip, York, UK

13 Dec 2008- Day Trip to York, UK.. The North's spiritual capital for 2000 years, York is central to Britain's colourful history.

York has been awarded ‘Best UK city 2008’ in the Telegraph Awards for the second year! York took the title from London in 2004, after a six year run at the top and won again in 2007. This award also comes after a win in Europe where York gained the accolade, European Tourism City of the Year for 2007/2008!

Such a facinating place to visit..however, the weather that day really horrible..Heavy rain one whole day! Really chilled... Anyway, my hubby and I still enjoying ourself- photo taken...not many but just enought to keep in our memory album...

I wished my kids were here to enjoy the winter festival...

University will be closed from 24th Dec to 5th Jan...and i should fly home that time, bring along my successful story (if any)... otherwise....ermm..do not want to think about it, for now at least..

Need to have some rest too..or i'll get myself walking to the hospital, once again...

The Graduation Day

Saturday, 8th of November 2008, the graduation day of my daughter...I'm so upset coz i was not there to see her wearing her Graduation robe and received the certificate from her teacher. As my hubby told me, Nasuha was so excited and always keep mentioned that she's wearing a robe and graduated just like Ummi. Aha! She still can remember my graduation day 2 years ago, i guess..

I'm really proud of her...How pretty she is in that robe...

Her cheerful face...Missed you dear...

And my boy received his award too...He was awarded as Best student in his class...So proud of him...My clever boy..

Hakim and his award...He just 4 years old...Love you so much..

I'm so grateful and thanks to Allah for His blessed and the gifts, my precious Nasuha and Hakim.. Both of you are my joy and pride!!!

Not Feeling Well...

I'm not feeling well...Yesterday after lunch, I got stomach pain..But I just ignored it since i need to prepare samples to run on LCT-MS...But after an hour it became more painful so i decided to take 2 panadols and hope the pain will relieve..

Around half past 4 pm, the pain really dreadful so i decided to take a minute rest..But the pain getting worst..I can't even walked!!..Goh (my labmate) called for some helped..Paul and Heather tried to call for a taxi to send me to hospital..Actually i just want to have some rest at home..Hazel suggested to me that i should go to hospital for treatment since i'll be alone at home and no one there to take care of me if the pain getting worst..

Waiting for a taxi takes an ages because of traffic conjuction..so Hazel, Rob and I decided to walk to the Hospital nearby..It takes about 10 min walking distance..

OMG! Why this happen to me at this time...

We reached hospital, safe and sound but with dreadful pain in my stomach...

Only nurses on duty..in UK the system is a bit different compared to Malaysia..You only can see a doctor if you have an appointment if recommended by nurse..

Two nurses on duty tried to figure out what was the problem with my stomach..then, based on the symptoms they diagnosed me that i'm having cystitis...

Then three of us tried to look around for pharmacy..Opps!!We went to the wrong pharmacy...I've no idea why this hospital should have two pharmacies..

Rob walked me home..Thanks to him...After taking the medicine i'm really felt so sleepy and tired..It such a very long day for me..

Under treatment for 2 days..can't drink any coffee or tea..only plain water and milk..and must keep warm enought..

My labmates (Phom,Jia and Goh) came and visit me today..Really nice of them..and they told me that all peoples in lab really concerned about my health..thanks a lot..hope getting better tomorow and ready to be busy at work...chaiyok2...

Paku di Dinding

PAKU Di Dinding Hatimu…

Ada seorang pemuda yang sangat pemarah. Dia tidak dapat mengawal kemarahannya walaupun ianya hanya satu masalah kecil sahaja.

Pada suatu hari, bapanya telah menghadiahkannya dengan seguni paku. "Untuk apakah paku-paku ini ayah?" tanya pemuda tersebut.

"Setiap kali kamu marah, kamu pakulah tembok batu di hadapan rumah kita ini, bagi melepaskan kemarahan mu" jawab ayahnya.

Pada hari yang Pertama sahaja, pemuda itu telah memaku sebanyak 37 batang paku pada tembok batu tersebut.

Selepas beberapa minggu, setelah dia dapat mengurangkan kemarahannya, jumlah paku yang digunakan juga berkurangan.

Dia mendapati, adalah lebih mudah mengawal kemarahannya dari memukul paku menembusi tembok batu tersebut.

Akhirnya tibalah pada suatu hari, dimana pemuda tersebut tidak marah, walau sekali pun.

Dia pun memberitahu ayahnya mengenai perkara tersebut dengan gembira.

Bapanya mengucapkan tahniah dan menyuruh dia mencabut kembali paku itu satu persatu, pada setiap hari yang ia lalui tanpa kemarahan.

Hari berganti hari, dan akhirnya dia berjaya mencabut kesemua paku-paku tersebut.

Pemuda tersebut lantas memberitahu perkara tersebutkepada bapanya dengan bangganya. Bapanya lantas memimpin tangannya ke tembok tersebut dan berkata "Kau telah melakukannya dengan baik, anakku, tetapi lihatlah kesan lubang-lubang di tembok batu tersebut, tembok itu TIDAK akan kelihatan sama lagi seperti sebelumnya.

Bila kau menyatakan sesuatu atau melakukan sesuatu ketika marah, ianya akan meninggalkan kesan parut dan luka, sama seperti ini.

Kau boleh menikam seseorang dengan pisau dan membunuhnya. Tetapi ingatlah, tak kesah berapa kali kau memohon maaf dan menyesal atas perbuatam mu, namun lukanya masih tetap ada.

Luka di hati adalah lebih pedih dari luka fizikal.

Sahabat adalah permata yang sukar dicari. Mereka membuatkan kamu ketawa dan menggalakan muka arah kejayaan.

Sahabat juga adalah seorang pendengar, berkongsi suka dan duka dan sentiasa membuka hatinya kepada kita.

Aku dikejutkan dengan berita kehilangan satu-satunya anak buahku yang baru berusia 2 bulan..Azzahra telah dimasukkan ke ICU selama seminggu dan disahkan menderita jangkitan paru-paru.

Hanya Allah sahaja yang tahu hatiku ketika ini, berada jauh di perantauan, memustahilkan aku untuk pulang menatap wajah dan mencium dahinya buat kali terakhir...Hanya doa dan surah Yassin dapatku hadiahkan dari jauh...Oh Tuhan alangkah hebatnya ujian Mu ini...

Lahirmu pada 1 Ramadhan lalu cukup menggembirakan kami...Pergimu kini kami tangisi...

Selamat Jalan Azzahra Ramadani Binti Syahrum Mauludin...Allah lebih menyayangimu..Pemergianmu kami redha kerana kami tahu Allah telah menjemputmu untuk berada di sisiNya sebagai penghias syurga.

As planned, 3 busses fully loaded with students from University of Sheffield arrived at Queen's College around 11 am in Saturday morning..The weather not really promising, however it's not really affected our planned to have a great time at Cambridge..

So this was the end of our visit to Cambridge...I wish we have more time to visit the place..However, I'm really satisfied with it..and hope will be back again...And hope K.Lin and Mr. T will visit us at Sheff soon as they promise to do so..

Home Alone....Only me,myself and I..Far away from home and my family...And i got this small house just for myself..1 bedroom + living room and a kitchen.

Dining table and 2 in 1 washing machine plus drying machine.....my friends here really jealous with me.....

I like the kitchen....i have fully furnished kitchen..and bigger than the others...so menambahkan jealous diorang...hihihi....

And this small house cost me 400GBP/month...yang nie diorang tak jealous since rumah diorang lagi murah...iskh2..

Today is the last day of BioMalaysia 2008 at KLCC. After 3 days back to back conference, i'm really exhausted. Furthermore, i'm the person incharge for my institution's booth for this year..thanks for the good jobs of my teams..

Tomorrow i'm on leave..and this saturday, I'll be away for three months for the seeks of knowledge.. Sheffield,UK here i come, again..

but this time i'll be there by myself, alone and far from home..OMG, i'll missed my home, my car, my office and most important things in my life- my family, my little kids...May Allah give me all the strenght that i need at this loomie and doomie moments in my life..

Balik Kampung

My family and I will balik kampung my mother tonite.we will spend the last few days of ramadhan with family..Then on Monday, my family and I will take off to Sabah for hari raya. This is my first raya with my in-law families..OMG, i'll craving for my mother's rendang this hari raya..

Family Outing Day

Last saturday my family and I went to Alamanda to grab something for Hari Raya preparation..We went to Parkson, Carrefour and few other boutiques...Best part, all outlets on sales!!!...

Then, my kids craving for McD...They're not fasting.. Actually my girl should be fasting that day but when she saw her brother having fun licking the ice cream, she can't help herself...drooling, i presume..

As a mother, i said it will be ok if she want to break her fast, since she only 6 years old..even she has succesfully fasting for more than 6 hours. Do not pressure them, so they will be happy and willing to fast next day..
Nasuha was very happy with her sundae....

Hakim on his best post as Duta McD..hihihi...

My hubby and I just sat at McD and let them finished their meals...

Then we went to Mines, since i still have somemore things to buy in my lists...Hehehe..shopping sakan la nie...

My hubby checking the bills and his wallet, i guess...

Hakim with his excited face when i said we can have our meals at Kenny's for breaking fast...We reached Kenny's at around 4.30pm. It was fully booked.. Luckily the manager of yogurtberry considered to seat us at her place with one condition that we must order something from her menu...

Then we went outside the Mines to see the mooncake festivals. I don't really understand the story of monkeys in their dances...perharps something to do with mooncakes festivals..

I love to watch tiger dance...But not the naughty monkeys...

Then, we headed back to the Kenny's.... It's still early when they served our foods...so my kids having their meals first..

So yummy.....I love Kenny's...

Hikmah Sujud

Sujud lega sistem pernafasan

Mungkin ramai di kalangan umat Islam tidak sedar mengenai pelbagai hikmah yang tersembunyi ketika sujud. Pada hal, kita perlu sedar bahawa tiada suatu pun ciptaan dan suruhan Allah s.w.t. yang sia-sia, malahan setiap ciptaan itu mempunyai kelebihan yang selalunya tidak terjangkau oleh akal manusia.

Manusia melakukan sujud dalam dua bentuk, iaitu sujud fizikal seperti ketika bersolat dan sujud spiritual berbentuk ketaatan kepada perintah Allah s.w.t. dan menjauhi larangannya.Ulama mengatakan sujud ketika solat adalah waktu manusia paling hampir dengan Allah s.w.t. dan mereka menggalakkan kita bersujud lebih lama.

Antara hikmah lain sujud adalah melegakan sistem pernafasan dan mengembalikan kedudukan organ ke tempat asalnya. Bernafas ketika sujud pula boleh:

1. membetulkan kedudukan buah pinggang yang terkeluar sedikit dari tempat asalnya.

2. membetulkan pundi peranakan yang jatuh.

3. melegakan sakit hernia. (burut)

4. mengurangkan sakit senggugut ketika haid.

5. melegakan paru-paru daripada ketegangan.

6. mengurangkan kesakitan bagi pesakit apendiks atau limpa.

7. kedudukan sujud adalah paling baik untuk berehat dan mengimbangkan lingkungan bahagian belakang tubuh.

8. meringankan bahagian pelvis.

9. memberi dorongan supaya mudah tidur.

10. menggerakkan otot bahu, dada, leher, perut serta punggung ketika akan sujud dan bangun daripada sujud.

11. pergerakan otot itu menjadikan ototnya lebih kuat dan elastik, secara automatik memastikan kelicinan perjalanan darah yang baik.

12. bagi wanita, pergerakan otot itu menjadikan buah dadanya lebih baik,mudah berfungsi untuk menyusukan bayi dan terhindar daripada sakit buah dada.

13. mengurangkan kegemukan.

14. pergerakan bahagian otot memudahkan wanita bersalin, organ peranakan mudah kembali ke tempat asal serta terhindar daripada sakit gelombang perut(convulsions) .

15. organ terpenting iaitu otak manusia menerima banyak bekalan darah dan oksigen.

16. mengelakkan pendarahan otak jika tiba-tiba menerima pengepaman darah ke otak secara kuat dan mengejut serta terhindar penyakit salur darah dan sebagainya.

Dari segi psikologi pula, sujud membuatkan kita merasa rendah diri dihadapan Yang Maha Pencipta sekaligus mengikis sifat sombong, riak,takbur dan sebagainya.Dari segi perubatan, kesan sujud yang lama akan menambahkan kekuatan aliran darah ke otak yang boleh mengelakkan pening kepala dan migrain, menyegarkanotak serta menajamkan akal fikiran sekali gus menguatkan mentality seseorang.

Menurut kajian, terdapat beberapa urat saraf di dalam otak manusia yang tidak dimasuki darah sedangkan setiap inci otak manusia memerlukan darah yangcukup untuk berfungsi secara normal dan sempurna.

Wake up for Fajr Solah

I got this email from one of my senior..Would like to share with you in a view of Ramadhan...

A man woke up early in order to pray the Fajr Prayer at the masjid. He got dressed, made his ablution and was on his way to the masjid. On his way to the masjid, the man fell and his clothes got dirty. He got up, brushed himself off, and headed home.

At home, he changed his clothes, made his ablution, and was, again, on his way to the masjid. On his way to the masjid, he fell again and at the same spot! He, again, got up, brushed himself off and headed home. At home he, once again, changed his clothes, made his ablution and was on his way to the masjid. On his way to the masjid, he met a man holding a lamp. He asked the man of his identity and the man replied I saw you fall twice on your way to the masjid, so I brought a lamp so I can light your way.'

The first man thanked him profusely and the two were on their way to the masjid. Once at the masjid, the first man asked the man with the lamp to come in and pray Fajr with him. The second man refused. The first man asked him a couple more times and, again, the answer was the same. The first man asked him why he did not wish to come in and pray. The man replied, 'I am Satan (devil/evil)'The man was shocked at this reply.

Satan went on to explain, 'I saw you on your way to the masjid and it was I who made you fall. When you went home, cleaned yourself and went back on your way to the masjid, Allah forgave all of your sins. I made you fall a second time, and even that did not encourage you to stay home, but rather, you went back on your way to the masjid. Because of that, Allah forgave all the sins of the people of your household ..

I was AFRAID if i made you fall one more time, then Allah will forgive the sins of the people of your village , so i made sure that you reached the masjid safely!

'So do not let Satan benefit from his actions. Do not put off a good that you intended to do as you never know how much reward you might receive from the hardships you encounter while trying to achieve that good.

MOSTI under Agro-Biotech Institute invited me to participate in this event. Even they're the one that set up the booth for me to exhibit my research finding..I just need to prepare the info on my project and taaraaa..then, they come out with this poster...I like it..

See..Hero of the story...My Broodstock Tiger Grouper..Imported from Terengganu..Special courier just for this event..Age -7kg, Weight- 7kg, price??? 1kg= RM150..Really expensive hah??That's why i'm really eager to do this project..Not for the profit but to conserve our local tiger grouper since most of the broodstocks were purchased from Indonesia..surprisely we do not even think how to protect our heritage...So that's the project a meant for..

Kuching Trip-Part 2

Our first nite in Kuching was facing with power failure. Sarawak in Black Out!!! Tetapi, semangat orang-orang Kuching mengkagumkan kami..Walaupun hanya diterangi dengan lampu emergency that only last for one hour, meeting Mobile Money tetap diteruskan..

My hubby dengan semangatnya berkongsi pengalaman dan kejayaan bersama orang Sarawak..Harapan kami orang Sarawak dapat merasa hasilnya bersama kami..Insyaallah..Kami telah melebarkan sayap di Kuching..selepas ini hubby kata nak tawan Miri and Bintulu pulak..so ada peluang lagi nak ke sana nie..hehehe..

Kuching Trip-Part 1

Sarawak- one and only state in Malaysia that i've never visit. Since my Hubby has a bussiness trip in Kuching, so i tooks this opportunity to join him to travel to Kuching by Airasia..

My hubby- nasi lemak pak nasser..Ok la kot coz within 5 minutes the only things left was the empty plate..lapar nye dia..

We arrived at 11 on Saturday morning. As usual, my hubby never planned his trip..so we not doing any hotel booking before arrived...So we just tried our luck..Luckly, Tuan Haji Azrul (my hubby downline) pick us up at the airport and send us to this Hotel.. this is a new hotel in Kuching..Hilton, Holiday Inn were fully booked (ada meeting datin-datin BN)..

Bathroom..

We only got this Twin sharing bed..Queen bed fully booked..

Out for lunch...first thing in my mind was to have Laksa Sarawak..Tak berapa sedap la..

Mee Kolok for my hubby...yang ni sedap..macam rasa sup..

Then, shopping la..India Street, Kuching..Macam TAR street..

Taarraa..Kain Sarawak Pua Kumbu... Cantik sangat..

Nak balik Hotel jap..nak tidur..Panas sangat..

Pengkalan Balak Trip

Last weekend, my family and I went for 2 days and 1 nite trip to Pengkalan Balak, situated in Malacca. Initial plan was to stay there from Friday onwards. However, my super duper busy husband has a bussiness trip on Friday nite. So we rescheduled it to Saturday afternoon (after visiting my second cousin at the Serdang hospital).

We reached there around 6.00 in the late afternoon. Since we're not doing any accomodation booking so we went there with a hope that we could get two chalets (1- for me and my family, another 1 for my mother,father and brother).

It's took about an hour to get a chalet with reasonable price to stay. However, the chalet not really presentable with a price of RM120/nite..Sebab tu tak nak tunjuk gambar..

Pengkalan balak is very famous with seafood with very cheap price..So we went for a family dinner that nite near the beach..

My mother, next to her is my elder brother..

We having Otak-otak.. - 8/10

Tom yam seafood- 7/10

Kupang masak cili- 8/10

Sotong goreng tepung.. - 7/10

and Jenahak masak stim.. 7/10

Sedaap..and it costs us RM 108.80 for foods and drinks for 7 people..murah kan...

Next day, masa mandi laut..

Main-main pasir...kat rumah kita tak boleh main pasir kan sayang...

My hubby and hakim..Puas mandi manda..puas tertelan air masin kami meneruskan perjalanan pulang..singgah sekejap for shopping kat tepi jalan...

My mother was very determined to buy cencalok and belacan Melaka..so singgah la kejap to make her happy..abis la kereta baru bau cencalok and belacan..hehehe..

For me, i bought...Nie, buah pulasan....lama tak pekena..sedaap...

Dodol melaka..Dodol durian pun ada...

Apa kaitan Pyrex nie dengan tajuk entry kali nie...Hehehe...tunggu..Btw, ini adalah pyrex yang saya beli semasa di UK..Harga nye 8.99 pound for 3 sets of bowls..with cover somemore...murah kan..kat Langkawi pun tak boleh dapat with this price...

Ok, Let's focus on this entry..Serawa Bachang..bagi yang tak pernah dengar, serawa bachang nie adalah makanan popular di kawasan utara semenanjung Malaysia..Bahan utama serawa ni ialah buah bachang or machang..sekarang kan tengah musim..so best la kalau kita buat serawa nie kan..

Bahan-bahannya ialah bachang yang di buang kulitnya...

Bachang yang telah dicuci kemudiannya dicincang-cincang kepada saiz yang lebih kecil..macam dalam gambar tu lah...

Taadaa..nie lah rupa isi buah bachang yang telah dicincang tu..

Tambah gula secukup rasa manis nye...

Garam secukup rasa masinnya...

and Santan secukup pekatnya..paling bagus santan yang diperah sendiri daripada kelapa parut..kalau tak ada santan paket pun boleh je..redah je..

Kacau la bahan-bahan tersebut...dah pun siap untuk dimakan..oopss..tak boleh lagi..kena letak dalam peti ais untuk menyejukkan nya...sedap makan masa sejuk-sejuk..dahlah musim panas nie..mesti sedap kan..

Ok..dah boleh makan dah nie..sedap...cubalah kalau tak percaya..lupa pulak..serawa bachang nie disediakan di dalam mangkuk pyrex saya tu..saja nak test mangkuk baru..hehehe...

Today, i've completed my induction course for 2 weeks..and end up with examination..ISKH! Pecah otak jugak nak jawab soalan JPA nie..I've tried my best..Hope i'll pass the exam..

buat malu jer kalau tak pass...iskh..ishk..at least, i can sleep well now without need to memorize all the "Akta Kewangan, Wawasan 2020, Dasar Pembangunan Nasional, Arahan perbendaharaan...Adoi..susah juga keje gomen nie weh..

Last saturday, K.lin rang me and invited me to join her and Josh at Hj. Samuri Satay Kajang..Unfortunately, i've other plans with my family..Since this is one of my favourite food, so i'd asked my hubby to have dinner there..so yesterday we have our family dinner at Hj Samuri..

Satay or sate is a dish consisting of chunks or slices of dice-sized meat (chicken, mutton, beef, fish, etc.) on bamboo skewers. These are grilled or barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire.

It may be served with a spicy peanut sauce dip, or peanut gravy, slivers of onions and cucumbers, and ketupat (rice cakes).

In Malaysia, satay is a popular dish - especially during celebrations - and can be found throughout the country.

The famously known satay outlets are in Kajang, Selangor which dubbed as the Sate City in the country. Sate Haji Samuri is very popular in Kajang as well as throughout Malaysia. Many branches of Sate Kajang Haji Samuri are opening nowadays offering chicken sate, beef sate, deer sate, rabbit sate, fish sate and etc.

This is our Hop in and Hop off Bus Tour of London..Just pay 22 pound per person and it will takes you around the infamous places in London. It has about 40 stop that you could hop in and hop off..very convenient hah??

Hi...I'm Back...

Sorry guys..it has been a while i'm not updating my blog..Jetlag plus Busy plus Tension with the new hot story in my department..what ever it is life must go on..and political issue at work is a MUST for those who working with government, i guess..

Ok..ok..focus on the entry please...LONDON TRIP- the trip that i'd enjoyed most....so here are some pictures to share with you guys..enjoy! so for those who are in planning for luxury vacation or honeymoon..i think LONDON is the best place for that..but remember everythings must multiply by RM6.5..ok..Not really that expensive hah??

Jubilee Hotel- we stayed there for 3 nite with the cost of 70 pound per nite (RM455 in Malaysia) Wow! Boleh dapat honey moon suite kat Shangri-La or Equatorial kat Malaysia kan..kan..

This place are infamous with the wild pigeon and you can feed them there..but currently visitor are not allowed to feed them or you will be fine..

Problem solved...I've received an email from my assistant registrar in Malaysia regarding my status.. and she said -no news from the ministry yet..so my boss asked me to take off this Monday (according to initial plan)..

So, here i am...in LONDON...we will be staying here for next 2 days before flying home...

Apa lagi, LONDON hopping la..hehehe...So, sit back and wait for my posting on Day Trip to LONDON...TUNGGU....

I'm So Confused!!!

I'm so confused.....

Hari ini betul-betul menguji ku...Terima email dari Malaysia tentang extention- result will be out by Friday...and mungkin akan cancel flight ticket jika aku dapat extention tu...and i will stay for another 2 months here..

Dulu dah bincang dah dengan Big Boss and decision dia balik dulu dan tunggu surat approval tu baru datang sheffield balik..and dia tak kisah flight ticket tu..Paul mula-mula memang tak bagi aku balik..suruh tunggu je surat tu..but kena tanggung risiko la kalau tak approved..then dia ok bila Boss kata macam tu...

Yang jadi masalahnya ialah, tiba-tiba bagitau pasal nie, nie kira last minute betul..Friday baru tau result, tiket 30 Jun (Isnin)..notis keluar rumah dah bagi pada landlord..landlord dah bagitau kalau nak stay kena bagi notis at least 1 minggu so dia boleh arrange rumah..now tinggal berapa hari??

mana aku nak duduk kalau takde rumah weh!..and lagi satu nak masuk rumah kena bayar deposit balik and sewa bulan pertama...campur-campur semua dah jadi 860pound..mana nak korek banyak tu??? and off course bendahari akan bagi cek later but bila???

Miserable...and bincang dengan Paul...he said i should stick to my plan..ignore them..coz i already set my mind to be at home by 30 June..and he said come back again as soon as i can..

Apa nak buat nie???dilema betul...Sedih...

But the best part...Paul puji-puji aku...kata dia tak sabar nak aku balik sheffield balik...kerja aku bagus..dapat result bagus..and dia kata normally susah student international nak fit into UK lab environment, UK environment dalam masa 3 bulan, selalunya ambil sampai 6 bulan..then baru boleh start kerja and produce result.. but me, fit in very fast and very well....ceh! bangga diri..tak baik...hehehe...tu je yang buat hati nie happy buat hari ini..

and one more thing aku dah hilangkan kunci lab yang Paul bagi (kunci lab sini ada security tak semua orang boleh dapat)...takut betul tadi..but dia kata ok tak pe, jangan risau nanti dia bagi yang lain bila aku balik...best betul la supervisor aku nie..sayang Paul...hehehehe...

We arrived at Arena of Sheffield around 8.00 pm (malam tau nie)...see...you can still see the sunny smiling at you...8.00 pm it's just like 8.00am...kan...kan...inilah masa summer...

Ta..da....my hubby...first time on ice he looked really nervous...but excited...Me?? you can't see me coz i'm too fast moving and dancing around like a swan..and very difficult to be snapped on camera... hahaha...

My daughter...bored and tired...nanti dah besar sikit Umi ajar yer...

Tengok...dah terror sikit..try to balance his body or adrenaline..

His moving now...wow...such an improvement..

By the time we left the Arena, it's around 10 pm...tak gelap sangat kan..macam maghrib je..

Sorry guys for not updating my blog frequently...Really busy at work since i've got a few months left...And Kesum work is still in progress...

This is my beloved Metabolomics machine..LCT-ES-MS-TOF..

Function: To profile the metabolites of an organism without any bias...

And ta..da... the results that this brilliant machine plotted for me..It's the chromatographs of metabolite compounds of Kesum..

Ta...da...the data analysis of my Kesum sample using SIMCA-P...This is an example of good result!!!Yeah!!

And this is Gas Liquid Chromatography to analyse my targeted compounds...I've done the carbohydrate-successful...and I've tried to run standard of organic acids- not successfull yet!!! huhuhuhu... Problem with the derivatization maybe...anyone have any brilliant idea???Please email to me..

Daytrip To Manchester

24 May 2008, Manchester was our next destination.Actually this trip was inspired by my hubby, since he's really eager to visit the Old Trafford Stadium..

Sesapa yang minat sgt dgn Man Utd tu, jgn jealous tau sbb kami dah sampai kat stadium tu...hehehe..

We stopped for a while (actually for shopping and photograph taken) at the Manchester Arndale before continue the journey to Old Trafford by Tram..

It was a very long journey for me (jalan kaki tau!) from the Tram station to the stadium...aiyo! habis lemak ku terbakar..anyway, we reached the stadium after 30 min walking..just imagine, ain can walk that long..it was another new record for me actually..the first one was jungle tracking- Perhentian Island (Josh, jgn gelak ye) hehehe..

Shopping sakan!!! hehehe..Megastore of Man Utd that's our real destination..my hubby bought some T-shirts, Caps, key chains, mugs and ntah apa-apa lagi ler kat situ..

And he said, he's not really fancy about MU..yeah right!!...anyway, let's photo do the talking...jangan marah ye suami ku..

The best part, before balik we went for makan-makan in Thai Restaurant at China Town in Manchester city..Thanks Mr Ghani for belanja seabass and etc..Sorry guys, gambar takde sebab busy sgt menghabiskan seabass tu sampai lupa amik gambar..almaklumla lama tak makan makanan ala-ala tom yam..

On 17 May 2008, me and my family with a friend visited the Chatsworth House, located in Derbyshire, Peak District, UK. It was a very big and beautiful English Manor, owned by Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.

A bit on the history: The first house at Chatsworth was built by 'Bess of Hardwick' (c. 1527-1608) and her second husband Sir William Cavendish (1505-57).

Today is 2nd of June..and this project should be end by 30 June..but..i don't think i can finish by the time..so much work given,so many things need to learn and discover..OMG i'm the guinea pig since this kesum is their new and latest interest!and a lot of pressure come from both side..sometimes i want to cry..

Current issue,sheffield want me to stay for another 2 months, but UKM still look at the budget..and Mike gave me more work that i think need at least a year to complete it..even when i asked him "based on his experience, how long it will takes to complete this?", he said CLUELESS!!!

Aiyo..mati la aku stuck kat sini forever..and my hubby dah merengek nak balik Malaysia, since his bussiness a bit slow now..nak nangis..huhuhu...

Metabolomics@ Sheffield

At last, we arrived at sheffield on 1st April 2008. new experience, new knowledge awaiting for me here..alhamdulillah, me and my family survived to the extremely cold (for us maybe)weather at sheffield.now it should be spring time and the weather are very nice..sunny day..and flowers everywhere...how lovely..

But deep in my heart, bit worry...metabolomics- it's not just a complicated name or term but also a very heavy burden..to gain knowledge, to learn theory,practical and techniques and also to obtain results within 3 months..

The work that should be encountered by PhD student in 3-4years times, but for me- just 3 months..even my supervisors said i must be the iron lady if i can finish this in 3 months..hahaha...so sarcastic...

What ever it is...work must be done..return home with honours and dignity...obtaining very good result..tackle all the problems in metabolomics study...that are my aims...

Hope Allah will help me and guide me...insyaallah..
